Seeking help on trying to repair/touch up the finish on a dining table that I previously stripped, sanded stained and polyurethaned myself. Recently while cleaning out a closet I stupidly left a bottle of a pavement cleaner that had cracked on the table and it stripped a ring of the finish off my table under the bottle.
I have the matching stain and have started to apply it to darken the color to match but I fear the ring will still show. What is the best way to make this mostly disappear without completely stripping or sanding at least the half of the table this is on? The table splits in the center for a leaf so theoretically I could do just half of the top. Pictures are attached. Thank you!
