Is anyone else considering canceling Copilot Pro after the switch to AI Credits?

I've been a Copilot Pro subscriber for a while and recently noticed the change from Premium Requests to AI Credits.

What frustrates me is not the new system itself, but how quickly credits seem to disappear.

Yesterday I asked a single question in Copilot Chat. The model spent a long time "thinking", never produced a useful answer, and I still ended up using around 94 AI Credits.

With the old system, I felt much more comfortable using GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and GPT-5 Mini because I roughly knew what I was getting each month. Now it feels difficult to predict how much a question will cost.

At $10/month, I'm starting to wonder whether Copilot Pro still makes sense for users who mainly use Chat rather than code completion. If a few complex questions can consume a significant portion of the monthly allowance, would it be better to just use APIs directly and pay for actual usage?

I'm curious about other people's experiences since the AI Credits rollout:

  • Have your credits been disappearing faster than expected?
  • Have you changed the models you use because of the new pricing?
  • Are you keeping Copilot Pro, upgrading, or canceling?

I'm genuinely interested in hearing how others are adapting to this change.
