I live in culver city, near the DMV, I had to call 911 because I heard 8-10 loud bangs: my first thought was the metal gate near my front door. Then I heard footsteps walking away from my gate and then the banging again 5 mins later and eventually a car starting and driving away. I spent 20 mins on the phone with LAPD, by the time I got connected I assumed they (maybe) were gone. Now hearing a helicopter flying around. Just wondering if anyone else in the area may have heard something similar (could have been fireworks but unlikely).
