First Times
You know that feeling when you listen to something for the first time, and you realize that you've just experienced something so special that you'll never forget it? I had that experience twice tonight. I was looking at old threads in this sub, and I can across on old post about favourite live versions of songs. Someone said to check out Midnight Rambler and Sympathy for the Devil on Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out. Holy moly. I feel like I've been changed somehow, deep inside. I love Sympathy, but I don't listen to it very often. I am going to be listening to it over and over experiencing everyone's contribution with the help of some good headphones. I am sure that everyone reading this has long known about how great these tracks are, but wouldn't you like to hear them again for the first time? Absolutely brilliant performances. The other night I came home from work, put my feet up, and hit "random" on my Stones playlist. Bitch started playing, and for one brief moment, I felt 22 again. The decades go by so quickly.
