ABAWD Waiver
I need one, I’ve lost my EBT. I know I qualify as disabled, as I have been hospitalized in a psychiatric ward as an adult 5 times. I have told my psychiatrist, since day one, that my mental condition stops me from working. After the laws changed in NV, I no longer qualify or receive benefits. I live on food from donation drives and some food that gets gifted. On my last appointment with psychiatrist, I told him that I have lost my EBT and need your help. He kept “I’m sorry to hear that.” As he was only doing his Telehealth psychiatrist job. I told him I needed help getting SSI disability and AWAWD waiver and responded with “We’ll make sure to leave a note for that.” It’s been 3 months of me asking and he says I have to see him for every appointment for 6 months in a row. I had lost my health insurance, and had to skip 2 months. Now I have to see him for “6 months” in a row now according to him, despite my old psychiatrist from years ago, suggesting going down that route, only 2 months in.
It’s very obvious my psychiatrist only cares for the money and his private office. I am leaving this psychiatrist, eventually. For the time being, what can I do? I feel extremely alone despite how much I try. I have literally no money. half a tank of gas I got after begging.
I’m considering selling my car, doing ridiculous things that many regular Americans already do. It has become expensive to be borderline homeless. Life is extremely unfair.
