Question Help LAN Alternatives For My Agilent HPLC Setup

Hey guys! Made a post but didn't really answer my question I tried to save some money and AI told me I could use a JetDirect 600N (J3113A) but it didn't fit. Would the JetDirect 400N work instead (saw a post where someone was using it Post Here )

Here's my setup:

  • Degasser on top
  • DAD
  • TCC
  • Autosampler
  • Binary pump on bottom

The binary pump, autosampler, and DAD all have MIO slots, TCC doesn't. I know I need CAN cables to connect the modules together but not sure where to go from there. Any help appreciated! ☹️

Help with my new set up Agilent 1100 HPLC

Note: I used AI for some initial research but haven’t verified everything independently

Product No. |Serial No. |What it is
G1312A |DE91604315 |HP 1100 Series HPLC Binary Pump
G1313A |DE72003311 |HP 1100 Series HPLC Autosampler
G1316A |DE82205682 |HP 1100 Series HPLC Column Compartment (Thermostat)
G1315A |US82403344 |HP 1100 Series HPLC Diode Array Detector (DAD)
G1322A |JP73012592 |HP 1100 Series On-Line Vacuum Degasser Hey guys, how's it going? It's my first time getting into chromatography and the machine itself was pretty expensive to buy.

I tried to save myself a little bit of money... lol AI told me I could use a JetDirect 600N card, serial number J3113A, but unfortunately it didn't fit and I'm kinda sad.

My question is: how do I get this whole thing talking to each other and talking to my computer? I'm not too sure someone could guide me on what to do because I don't want to screw anything up and fry anything.

Here's how I have it stacked:

  • Degasser on top
  • Right under it is the DAD
  • Under that is the TCC
  • Under that is the auto sampler
  • Under that is the binary pump

AI told me I can use CAN cables, which are just basically Ethernet cables, so I could go from my DAD down to my TCC, from my TCC down to my auto sampler, and from my auto sampler down to my binary pump. At the very top of my degasser there is a remote and auxiliary port, and if you go down the modules they all pretty much have the same ports. The binary pump has an MIO slot, so does the auto sampler, and so does the DAD. The only one that doesn't is the TCC.

Not sure if you guys have any suggestions. I've been kind of digging around, poking around, and it's a little bit of a headache.

☹️
