Ignored online
Hello, I’m a relatively new social media artist (only started in late January) after 4/5 years of having given up on art (I’m currently almost 19 and gave up around 14 years old) but I can’t seem to get a good start on the whole ‘posting online’.
When I started drawing again, it was mostly for fun, getting my passion back and such but after getting fired from my job, I thought I’d give social media and eventually commissions a try.
However, no matter what I seem to do it feels like I can't get any attention or commissions (unfortunately, I don’t have a vgen code either so I'm currently stuck on Kirke and trying to get commissions from social media).
I've tried having a solid posting schedule of 1-2 times per week but still, nothing is actually helping. I’ve tried advertising myself for commissions and still nothing.
Sometimes, it feels like I’m cursed or something or that my art just isn't entertaining enough for people to come back to and I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. It feels like the more I improve the less social media cares.
I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but I’m getting so anxious over this. I guess I thought that this time, taking art more seriously would eventually lead to a career in it.
