I am flying out of South Africa tomorrow and I am desperately trying to track down Minoxidil 5% compounded in TrichoSol (or alternatively, Minoxidil 5% FOAM) before I leave.

Does anyone know a specific compounding pharmacy in Cape Town that has this ready, or does anyone happen to have a few spare bottles/cans I can buy off you directly today?

to share an experience and also hear if others have dealt with something similar.

My friend and I booked a catamaran cruise with Waterfront Charters in Cape Town (Booking no. BT791246). From the start, one staff member, Rouxhan Coetzaee, behaved in a way that we experienced as mocking and disrespectful.

There were comments about where we were from that did not feel friendly, but uncomfortable. He also made jokes like telling us to drink salt water, which in a customer setting felt unprofessional rather than humorous.

During the trip, I became seasick and vomited. Instead of being treated with basic care or professionalism, I felt that the situation was handled in a dismissive way, and it added to an already negative experience.

To be fair, other staff members on the boat were polite and professional. However, this one interaction ended up affecting the entire experience.

What frustrates me the most is how the complaint was handled afterward. The company described everything as a “misunderstanding” and denied any wrongdoing. They also refused a refund and redirected responsibility to a third party (Wikideals), even though the issue is clearly about the service delivered onboard.

I have traveled a lot and rarely complain, but this stood out as one of the most uncomfortable service experiences I have had.
