Affordable places to live in Spain for a year?
Hey everyone, I’m 18M and I’ll be 19 by the time I head to Spain in January next year. I’m planning on going for at least 3 months and probably up to a year.
My brother lives in Mallorca, so I know the island really well and I was originally planning on moving there. But because of the cost of living and how difficult it is to find somewhere to rent at a good price, I’ve decided not to move there anymore.
I also speak a little bit of Spanish — I’m definitely not fluent, but I can hold a conversation and get by day to day.
I’ve never actually been to mainland Spain before, so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on good places to live or visit. I’m looking for somewhere nice and livable where rent isn’t at a crazy price. Ideally I’d want a studio or one-bedroom apartment for myself.
I don’t want to be in the middle of nowhere, but I’m also not looking to live somewhere really expensive either.
Does anyone have recommendations for good areas in Spain? And is anyone else planning on moving to Spain around January next year?
