My vet said she can keep her dew claws, but I’ve met several people who almost look at me like I’m an abusive parent when I say I plan to leave her dew claws. She’s still a puppy, so she gets a lot of attention from folks. Then they notice her dews and ask when I’m getting them clipped.

They don’t cause Sierra any discomfort and have never tangled in anything.

Is this just a generational thing? Maybe it’s regional to West Virginia?

I won’t have them clipped off unless it causes her some sort of issue to have them. Have you encountered this question and reaction a lot?
