Ex sold car after contempt order and filed Chapter 7

My ex owes me money for children’s expenses, attorney’s fees, and other family court obligations. After being found in contempt, the judge ordered her to pay me $1,000 per month within 30 days, or sell the car I paid for, or she could face jail.

Right after the order, she sold the car. Instead of using the proceeds to pay me, she used the money to hire a bankruptcy attorney and filed Chapter 7. Now my family court enforcement is stalled, and she listed the debt owed to me as only $1 in her bankruptcy papers.

She did disclose the car sale in the bankruptcy, but I believe the timing and use of the proceeds were done to avoid complying with the family court order. She also listed that I owe her money in the bankruptcy case, which is not true.

Can family court debts like children’s expenses, attorney’s fees, and contempt-related payments be discharged in Chapter 7? Is there anything I can file in family court to show what she did with the car proceeds? Should I notify the bankruptcy trustee that the car was sold and the proceeds were not used to comply with the contempt order? What steps should I take so I do not miss any deadlines or lose my rights?
