I wanted to love this brand — the concept is great and the minimalist approach to skincare is appealing. However, my experience with their foundation was disappointing. The light tint turned orange on my skin, far from the natural finish they advertise.

What frustrated me most is discovering that Typology has no return, no exchange, and no refund policy on opened products. For color cosmetics like foundation, which you can only truly test by opening and wearing them, this policy feels especially unfair to customers.

My suggestion to Typology: consider offering at least an exchange or store credit for color-matching products that don’t work out. It would go a long way in building the customer trust your brand values seem to stand for.

For now, I’d advise anyone buying foundation or tinted products to be very cautious — there is no safety net if the shade doesn’t work for you.
