Planning a trip for last week of June and was wondering if it is feasible to park at the Brainard Lake winter lot and then ride my bike up to the Mitchell Lake trailhead (assuming the Mitchell Lake parking lot is not open until July) and start hiking from there. Questions: 1) will my bike be reasonably safe to lock up and leave all day at Mitchell Lake; 2) how will the snow conditions be riding my bike from the winter lot to Mitchell Lake; and 3) how will the snow conditions be on the trail to Mount Audubon or Mount Toll.
