Day 1-3

Had a rocky start to my trip - anxiety I guess lol
- didn’t know how to work the bus system (never used public transportation before)
- first day spent $42 on fish and chips and a beer- it was actually really good
- jet lagged
- the hills..
- thought my campervan tires had nails - I guess they are spikes?! Still going to be paranoid - I have notoriously bad luck with nails and tires
- ended my first night with my campervan earlier than planned - wanted to get a little further
- road to one of the light houses was INSANLY bumpy and large rocks everywhere (gravel road)

But other than that.its been amazing! The pure landscape and raw nature is unlike anything iv ever seen, stopped just at the snæfellsnes peninsula, hoping to make it to Akureyri at a reasonable time tomorrow, with a 4 am wake up call

Help me navigate the bus system

I’m sure it’s probably not as complicated as I’m thinking, but I’ve literally never taken public transportation so I don’t know how this works.

I was able to look on Apple Maps for a bus schedule, can I just go to the bus stop and pay when I get there? Or do I have to actually have a ticket I book online?

I’m picking up my camper van tomorrow and I severely underestimated how many hills I’d be walking up and down

Do you still travel if you are depressed?

I have an incredible 13 day trip to Iceland coming up literally in a week that iv been planning for a while. But recently iv become so depressed, and next week is also the 1 year for my fathers passing and I really don’t feel motivated to go. If I cancel I won’t get a refund on my plan ticket. I’ll be traveling solo and I feel that might make it worse. But then maybe traveling somewhere if always wanted to go might make me temporarily feel better.

I’m due to fly out in 9 days, and staying for 13, I have pretty much everything booked. Aside from a few museums and GeoSea. I’m staying in the city the first 2 days, the campervan around the ring road for the next 8, and last 2 1/2 days on city.

But you know unexpected life happens and my budget is now $1400usd.

Think that’s should sustain for gas - food and campsites - parking fees?
