Curious to see if any of you have done this.

I have EoE, which has been well-managed for years by avoiding four foods: dairy, wheat, eggs, and soy.

But now it appears that I have SIBO and I'm miserable all over again. Ugh...my digestive system!

My GI is willing to skip testing and just give me antibiotics for SIBO, but I kinda want to test and know what type of SIBO I'm dealing with, since that can affect the recommended treatments.

But, the recommended test uses lactulose, which is milk-derived, and not recommended for those with severe milk allergies. Of course, I don't have a severe milk allergy. I'm not going to have anaphylaxis, but I don't want to deal with EoE flaring up on top of SIBO.

So have any of you done this test? What did your doctors recommend? How did it go for you?

I was just driving my sixth grader to school, and he was going on about the school play and friend drama, when he interrupted himself mid-sentence to loudly sing every word of Super 8.

So yah, feeling like a good mom today!

I’m sure I’ll see some of you at the two Denver shows this weekend. :D
