Which Mini PC Can Decode 4K120 4:4:4 with the Lowest Moonlight Latency?

Hi everyone,

After countless attempts to get my PC connected to my Philips OLED 810/12 through Apollo and Moonlight, and trying to reduce the latency to the point where it truly feels like playing on a console, I think I've come to the conclusion that the best solution is to stop using the TV itself as the client and instead buy a dedicated mini PC for this purpose.

The problem is that I'm not knowledgeable enough about the hardware side of things to know which mini PC would be the best fit. I'm looking for something that can reliably decode 4K 120Hz streams with 4:4:4 chroma while keeping latency as low as possible, without costing a fortune.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Host:

  • RTX 5080
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • 32 GB DDR5 RAM
  • 10 Gbps wired network

Display:

  • Philips OLED 810/12 (77") - 4K

Goal:

  • 4K gaming at 120 FPS
  • 4:4:4 chroma
  • Lowest possible latency with Apollo/Moonlight

I'd really appreciate any suggestions or experiences from people running a similar setup.

Thanks in advance!
