WhatsApp groups with clients
When i started my job ~1 year ago my boss added me to our office whatsapp group, i'm totally fine with that, it is used for internal communication amongst him and us employees.
However in the last half year he also made several whatsapp groups for spicific projects which also include our clients (we do mostly private clients).
It really bugs me because now i am reaching a point where my whatsapp gets super cluttered with all of those groups and while most clients respect our hours, some of them do ask questions on the evenings and the weekends (However I never answer them until i'm back in the office).
I've been on vacation for two weeks now and i even had clients texting me personally, as well as a lot of messages in those groups (obviously i also don't reply to any of them, my boss and my colleagues do, but i'm also not very fond of notifications popping up for projects, while i took time off to spend with my family)
Is this considered normal? Do you guys experience the same? My colleagues don't seem to care but i think its a really unprofessional way of communication. Shouldn't he get us a company phone if he wants to do that sort of stuff??
For context: i work at a relatively small office in the Netherlands (i always thought differentiation bewteeen private and business is super important here?)
