25F, NJ, I’m starting to doubt if most insects have subjective experience and it freaks me out.
Hm, I have this thought sometimes: are scalpers for non essential goods even bad? I mean, don’t they just raise the retail price to the actual market price? I understand this means the product goes to who has the most money vs who got there quick enough, but what makes the latter sortation method more moral than the former?
Or is the argument that scalpers’ clearing of the stock is what causes the market price to rise? If that’s the case, a manufacturer who clears the stock for its source material through deals or patents is raising the price of their product through the clearing, being as culpable as a scalper, and if scalping non essentials is immoral, nearly every manufacturer is immoral. But I don’t believe that to be the case, and I doubt most people do either, yet most people think scalpers of non essential goods are evil. Hm.
You’re only allowed to answer any of these if you live close to me. Those are the rules 🤷🏾♀️
