Wholesome teamwork locating missing stroller/wheelchair last week

I just wanted to tell the story of the great cast members and guests from our trip last week. It was our first time at Epic and my family had just seen the mid day Le Cirque Arcanus show. While coming out of the show my young son and I ducked into a nearby tunnel while my husband and parents went off to grab our stroller and ECV with our ponchos and other belongings as it began to rain.

In true Florida fashion the winds picked up and it started coming down hard and people are now running around like crazy. My mom meets up with my son and I saying she couldn’t find her chair and lost track of my dad and husband. I send her and my son into the candy store to wait for us to locate our things. I get to the stroller parking tent near the show finding my dad, many strollers, wheelchairs and many other park goers but nothing in the tent belongs to anyone.

A cast member comes by explaining that everyone’s things were moved out of the rain and usually this is where they end up but he was working to find out exactly where it all went. One by one people were going out and getting soaked to try and find the missing items and coming back to update everyone. Eventually a wheelchair users husband seemed to have found where all of our things ended up and once the rain let up a bit we were able to find our stroller and a cast member was guarding our ECV.

I was so thankful for the staff to even move our things in the first place and for the people around us who rallied together to find everyone’s misplaced things. I could’ve seen some ugliness from people but everyone just worked together and was kind and helpful.

Taking my 5 year old on his “first trip” last minute packs? So excited!!

3 days away from our trip!! My husband and I have done IOA/US many times over the years. Most recently a few years ago when our little one was just under 2 and he was an absolute breeze. This kid is obsessed with Harry Potter and Nintendo mostly but loves many of the other IPs as well. Hes 41 (maybe 42 with shoes) inches and can safely do so many of the rides he’s excited for. We have express passes for Epic because we are letting him take the lead and don’t want him to burn out waiting too long at that park. We decided last minute to bring a stroller as he is on the smaller side to rest his body. But any other non obvious things? He’s totally getting a interactive wand and power up band as well. I have been traveling so much this year for work and we have saved up big for this trip for him. I’m so ready to just chill and watch his little eyes light up.
