My STEM OPT I-20 lists:

• Major: Management Science
• CIP Code: 52.1301

However, my diploma states:

• Master of Science
• Information Systems (IS Management)

USCIS issued a NOID stating that a concentration/specialization cannot be used to qualify for STEM OPT and appears to believe I am relying on the IS Management concentration rather than a STEM-designated degree.

I have contacted my DSO and am waiting for a response.

Has anyone received a similar NOID where the STEM OPT I-20 showed a STEM CIP code but the diploma had a concentration listed?

What was the outcome after responding to the NOID?
