Hey!! I just went through an absolute NIGHTMARE yesterday (and today)--and I want to tell the backstory before I get into the PSA!
I had been doing the Workout Plan with Zayne, and when I had switched from the LADS app to another one then came back, the game had restarted. I thought whatever, this has happened before. So, I went back into the game, but while it was loading at the cafe, the loading bar (and screen) would pause at 6% and wouldn't proceed at all. After several times of this, and force-stopping the app and restarting, I figured a file repair would help. At the time, I thought the process would go similarly to how Steam does it's file checks. I didn't expect it to do a complete reinstall?? I had avoided uninstalling the entire app specifically to avoid any potential purges ...
So, surprise surprise, all my local photos were gone from my albums. I was devastated and went into panic mode contacting Infold's customer support (through in-game chat and E-Mail). On my E-Mail, they said there was nothing that could be done, and the support chat hasn't replied yet ...
But then, today comes around, I had the idea to hopefully use data recovery software to try and scrape at the game folder on my phone, to see if I could get anything back ... And I DID!! ALL my locally stored photos were nestled in the folder! They (both the thumbnails and full-res images) were in a .bin format, but openable!
I play on an Android phone so I'm unsure how this will work on iOS or others, but this is what I did:
* Plugged in my Phone, with USB File Transferring turned on
* Went into (Name of my Phone)/Internal Storage/Android/data/com.papegames.lysk.en/files/DeepSpace
* Copied all the files, and then pasted them into my laptop
I e-mailed Infold's customer support with this new information in hopes that something new could come out of this, and am posting this in hopes that this may help other players!
