hello, I’m curious if anyone can help me understand a little more about my situation. I currently have a baby mouse in my care, pictures will be attached. I’m in the East Tennessee area.
I found her yesterday, she came out of the corner of my banjo lesson room and I scooped her up and ended up bringing her home with me. I’ve been giving her soy based baby formula. she’s teeny tiny and couldn’t be more than two weeks old. her eyes and ears are open and she has fur.
Im concerned because I saw this morning about the cruise ship that has the hantavirus outbreak. I know I’m no where near that, but should I be worried about contacting it from this little mouse? I have washed my hands religiously after every feeding or handling, and she is in a small enclosure right now so I can monitor her health and ensure that all of her droppings are being cleaned.
if someone can give me some advice I’d be really grateful. I love all animals and really want to help her, but I’m getting scared.
