Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the process of my German student visa and the embassy has asked me to provide proof of accommodation (rent agreement / hotel booking / invitation letter).

At the moment, I have already applied for a student dormitory, but I only have the auto-generated confirmation email (no room allocation yet).

I have submitted this dorm application confirmation as proof.

My question:

- Is dorm application confirmation usually accepted as accommodation proof?

- Or do embassies typically ask again for a hotel booking / temporary stay?

If anyone has faced a similar situation recently, please share what happened in your case.
