I’ve been unable to fill my Adderall prescription since February. Every pharmacy I try is either out and claims back order.

What the hell is happening? Where is all the supply going? Demand is obviously high with ADHD diagnoses way up, but this shortage has been dragging on for years now.

I keep seeing comments about the DEA quotas and manufacturing issues, but part of me wonders if a big chunk is being diverted for other uses (military/war efforts or something else). Does anyone have actual info on this? Is this conspiracy angle worth digging into, or is it just the usual combo of regulation + supply chain problems?

Would love to hear what others are experiencing in 2026 and any tips for actually getting it filled. NJ Morris county.
