My hubby and I split about 2 y ago after a really bad fight. We’d been together for 16 years, so we were trying hard to repair and save our relationship. While we were split up and working through things, I found out he hooked up with his ex who lives out of town. I was hurt, but we were technically broken up at the time, so I tried to process it and we eventually moved past it. He was open and honest w/ me about everything that happened.
Here’s the part I can’t shake though — he mentioned they took pics together. I’m not sure why, but that bothers me more than anything else. Maybe it’s bc we have kids together, and I worry that his ex might be petty enough to post those pics one day where my children could come across them.
And honestly, my concern isn’t just in my head — she’s already made posts showing bits of him. Like part of his tattooed sleeve, hinting that he’s in the picture without fully showing it. That kind of behavior tells me she’s not above using those photos one day.
We’ve really worked hard to rebuild our relationship and I feel like we’re in a good place. But this one thing keeps nagging at me. Is this a reasonable concern, or am I just overthinking it? Has anyone dealt w/ something similar?
