youtube.com[RACE THREAD] Great American Hot Rod Classic, Great Bend, KS
I'm also experimenting with race threads for the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series, since most of those races, other than the March Meet and the California Hot Rod Reunion, get very little media attention.
This is the place to discuss the Great American Hot Rod Classic at SRCA Dragstrip, which runs July 3-4, 2026. This race counts for points in Nostalgia Top Fuel, race 3 of 6 for the class. In addition to the HRHS points race, the track is also hosting a Stock/Super Stock Combo race and a Top Combo (Top Dragster/Top Sportsman Combo) race.
Nostalgia Top Fuel points standings entering the weekend:
| Position | Driver | Points | Behind |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pete Kaiser | 194 | 0 |
| 2 | Tyler Hilton | 174 | -20 |
| 3 | Mike Hilton | 171 | -23 |

I'm experimenting a bit with the race thread format in order to better fit Lucas Oil divisionals and regionals.
It's race 3 of 8 in Division 1, and race 7 of 9 in East Region. This is the place to discuss the Lucas Oil divisional/regional at Lebanon Valley Dragway, July 3-5, 2026.
Please use this thread for general discussion about the weekend that may not need a thread of its own. Remember to keep discussion civil and play nice!

nhra.comA small update
Hello everybody (should I start calling y'all r/NHRA Nation? Haha). Apologies for being away for so long, but I had some mental and physical health circumstances come up some months back, so I took a break from Reddit for the last several months.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped hold down the fort in my absence 😊. I'm super behind on all of the things I was keeping up with last year (like the big calendar I used for those Around the NHRA columns, not to mention the entry list previews, the Driver/Favorite Class of the Day polls, and the race review resource guides), but I'll try to pick back up the best I can. The points standings on the sidebar will be updated soon, and I'll see what interesting articles and videos I can share here while there's a small break in the national tour schedule. I'm looking into starting a Discord server soon too, so look out for updates on that.
By the way, it looks like this is a good point of the season to get back into the groove. How about that Ron Capps Motorsports double in Norwalk on Sunday, viewed by millions following the World Cup match between South Africa and Canada! What a day for Maddi Gordon especially. And let's not forget about the Pro Mods, they've already completed the first round of their Road to the Championship.
