Hi all, I got the IT people to enable support for Thunderbird on android. It's not the most straightforward setup, but it's not terribly difficult if you don't like Outlook and aren't against doing some manual configuration. Been using it since last fall (2025) and works like a charm!

Not sure if they have documentation for it. Here are my settings if anyone is interested:

Incoming:

• IMAP
• Server: outlook.office365.com
• SSL: SSL/TLS
• Port: 993
• Authentication: OAuth 2.0
• Username: (your sac state email address ending in @csus.edu)
• Client Certificate: None
• Auto-detect IMAP Namespace: ✅
• Use Compression: ✅
• Send Client Information: ✅

Outgoing:

• Server: smtp.office365.com
• Security: StartTLS
• Port: 587
• Authentication: OAuth 2.0
• Username: (your sac state email address ending in @csus.edu)
• Client Certificate: None
