Hello, everyone! I've been browsing this subreddit nonstop for almost two days now. I've tried every solution on here, and I'm here to explain what worked for me. Quick story: Friday, I developed an external hemorrhoid (most painful thing on Earth). I couldn't lie down, walk, or do anything without excruciating pain. Now, I'll list what worked for me.

-Amazon Basic Care Hemorrhoid Ointment

-Pre-Moistened Medicated Hemorrhoidal Pads with Witch Hazel (Walgreens Brand)

-Preparation H Hemorrhoidal Suppositories

-Ibuprofen (400 mg every 6-8 hours)

-Warm bath (target the hemorrhoid)

-Drinking Lots of Water

I put the hemorrhoid ointment onto the pad, squeeze it in my buttocks (make sure it's making contact with the hemorrhoid), and I also insert a suppository every few hours. Take ibuprofen and you'll be set!

It's now Sunday night, and I feel WAY better. It's been roughly two days. I'm hoping by Monday or Tuesday I'll be all good! Additionally, I've been fasting, so that's been helping tremendously. Hemorrhoids completely suck, but don't panic. Take action and relax. Try to lie on your side as much as possible and avoid eating past your daily calorie intake. Best of luck!
