I don’t really know how to explain what’s happening in the latter half of kohntarkosz, my best guess is that vander emphasizes the e of every beat with the melody, while playing the downbeats on the snare. No matter what I do, I can’t hear it this way, my mind thinks that the melody is on the downbeat, and the snare is on the a of every beat. How can I train myself to hear it properly?
