MBB Finance / Bold Capholm / grihasthafinance
If anyone saw the Facebook video that was meant to show Alan Kohler and Matt Comyn having an argument it is a deepfake with a link to the above companies. The scam works as follows: You are asked to give your email and phone number and someone phones you from an Australian mobile claiming to be from MBB Finance and talks about Crypto and high returns (they are convincing). If you are interested they say there is a no risk trial in which you deposit $350 (ask for card details over the phone, red flag) and say they will set up an account for you.
They give you access to the following site - https://app.loginarmor.com/platforms where you can see the amazing returns that happen over a week or so. Depending on your risk appetite depends on who you get allocated as an account manager. I spoke to the following people - Austin Price (aggressive American sales guy), Dean Walker (intro guy) and Emma Twik (account manager) and they have the following Australian numbers, claiming to operate out of Sugar House Lane, Stratford, London E15 - 0412183219, 0485860524, 0485986857.
Once they have your cash, they arrange to transfer $100 back into your account a week later to give you the illusion of being able to extract your "gains". After that has happened they will try and convince you to deposit more cash for faster gains through a Crypto wallet such as Kraken. The $100 will come to you via livingroomofsatoshi crypto account with a reference of MBB finance. If you do not have a crypto wallet, they will give you a bank account to deposit funds through the following account Christopher Morrissey 923100 acct no 319253521. This account has been flagged as suspicious by the major banks already.
If you ask about ASFL they will quote Living Room Of Satoshi https://search-afsl.com/Living%20Room%20OF%20Satoshi%20Pty%20ltd/afs-licensee/507130/ as well as the following which is not linked to them at all https://connectonline.asic.gov.au/RegistrySearch/faces/landing/panelSearch.jspx?searchType=OrgAndBusNm&searchText=096387316
They also have a fake reviews site https://trustify360.com/company/117448/mbb-finance?page=2 as well as this https://cryptocommission.org/members/mbbfinance/index.html
If you decide that you want to withdraw your funds they will recommend that you set up your crypto wallet linked to your bank account, this gives them potential access to drain your bank account, there are no funds despite what the platform says.
These guys are experienced, convincing and have enough knowledge to make them dangerous. Don't fall for the scam, i'm only out of pocket for $250 AUD, it could have been far worse.
