Hi everyone,

I have a question about Upwork contracts.

After all milestones are completed and the client is happy with the work, should I ask the client to close the contract, or is it okay to leave it open?

Some clients forget to close the contract even after the project is fully finished.
I already have several 5-star reviews on my account, but I’m wondering if having many completed-but-still-open contracts can affect my profile, Job Success Score, or visibility in the Upwork algorithm.

Does “job progress” or open inactive contracts have any impact?
