Exercise-Induced Ventricular Tachycardia While on Entyvio
I have been diagnosed with severe exercise-induced ventricular tachycardia.
It was discovered during a stress ECG performed by a cardiologist. I have never experienced severe symptoms such as fainting, but because the arrhythmias were serious enough that they could potentially progress to ventricular fibrillation, I was advised to get an ICD.
The doctors have not been able to determine the cause, and all tests for electrolytes and thyroid function have been normal. Imaging studies, including echocardiography, CT, and cardiac MRI, have also all been normal.
I have Crohn’s disease, and I suspect it could possibly be a contributing factor. In addition, I have been on Entyvio for almost ten years without any major side effects.
I have not been able to find any reports linking such severe arrhythmias to Entyvio. The side effects I have experienced from Entyvio, and which are known side effects, are high blood pressure and nasal congestion.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation while being treated with Entyvio, where heart problems or serious arrhythmias developed?
