If it was 8 billion of your clones making the decision for the world, which button would you press?
It's not a hivemind type of situation.
You are cloned around 8 billion times first (one clones per one person on Earth), then you are presented with the problem.
You are also informed that your clones will be making the decision on behalf of everyone on Earth.
So the difference is, you have a really good idea about what choice your clones will make, but you're not 100% sure (maybe your clones had a random thought or something that changes their decision). You also don't have to worry about toddlers or someone just not understanding the question.
