How should I continue?
I am a going to start freshman year as a math major this september.
I think I’m more interested in applied math but i’m not sure yet
My experience in math is the following:
finished IB Mathematics AAHL:
Some experience with linear algebra: using eigenvalues to solve systems of second order differential equations
Some information theory and discrete math experience. (worked on JPEG image compression)
Am currently halfway through MIT 18.02 Multivar calc.
I want to keep learning but am not sure how to go about it. I feel like I have bits and pieces of knowledge spread across different subjects. Once I finish 18.02 how should I continue before starting college (us university system btw)
My idea is to get more experience with proofs as it is the core of what i’ll be doing, but I don’t know how I should go about it.
Please give suggestions. Feel free to ask clarifying questions.
