Any tips? (New instructors)
Hi everyone! First time posting here. I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how to improve my teaching skills. I've been teaching Pilates Reformer for three months now, and although I've learnt a lot, I'm still finding it difficult to manage large groups. If it's just one or two people, it's no problem.
Here are a few questions I've got. If you'd like to answer any of them, l'a love to hear your thoughts!
• How do you keep classes challenging when the group has very mixed levels?
• What do you do when 1-2 clients need constant corrections and it slows down the whole class?
• What makes a reformer class feel boring versus engaging in your opinion?
• Do you structure classes around intensity, transitions, or muscle focus?
• How do you avoid spending too much time explaining exercises?
• What helped your classes feel more fluid and confident as a new instructor?
• How do you create intensity without relying on advanced exercises?
