I currently have a GX8 and am trying to determine whether the current S9 is that much of an improvement over it.
I am mostly interested in the new LUT support provided by the Lumix Lab App with in-camera support. I try to minimize the time spent editing files, as in my day job, I spend all day on the computer. In order to approximate what the LUT support could look like for the kind of photos I take, I downloaded the app (Android) and have tried to open some of my GX8 images from the photo gallery after being transferred to the phone through my computer as the camera is not able to pair with the app. When I try to open them, I constantly get an Image File format not supported error even though the files are in JPEG format. I have not yet tried to open a raw RW2 file, but my understanding of the app is that it only supports JPEG not raw formats.
Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong? Does the app just not support loading files from the phone rather than downloading them from the camera?
