I was a subscriber to the Economist. In two months they managed to deliver two (2) issues. The Economist is a *weekly* magazine. Getting my money back was a *battle*...the Economist is very expensive, I persevered.
I was a subscriber to Wired. They literally could not manage to deliver a single issue.
I just cancelled my subscription to The Baffler. They had a good run, but then stopped delivering. I called up their customer service who had no idea what to do but did suggest I call back. The Baffler is a tiny magazine why does it contract outside customer service?
A friend of mine subscribes to the print copy of her local town newspaper. It shows up about 25% of the time.
I had to go *to war* to get Financial Times to consistent deliver to me.
I guess because so few still read print the infrastructure isn't very good anymore. That, combined with grade F offshored customer service, it's genuinely work to support "printed media".
