Best wine gifts under $100 that don’t feel CHEAP cheap?

I’ve got a birthday dinner coming up soon for one of my closest friends, and she’s a true Wine Person. Like, brings wine to every gathering, has a wine rack at home, goes to tastings all the time, the whole thing.

Normally I’d just grab a “nice bottle” and call it a day… but once I started browsing, I totally blanked. $20 bottles feel too casual but $60+ bottles feel risky because I don’t know her exact taste. And I didn’t want to go the novelty route (cute glasses, signs, etc.) because she already has all that kind of stuff.

My budget is around $100, give or take, and I want it to feel like a thoughtful gift, not last-minute liquor store panic.

So what do others usually do here? Do you go with one premium bottle, a curated set, maybe even champagne? What about those subscription things?

Would love ideas that feel generous without blowing past the $100 mark.
