I'm a recent Linux convert. Started with Mint, didn't like the gaming experience, the console use requirement and the lack of HDR, now I'm on Bazzite KDE Plasma and it's great. However, I'm a big fan of Valve and I'm wondering if SteamOS would be good for me. I'm running a RX9070XT, 9850X3D and I'm mainly using my PC for gaming, music, some office stuff and photo printing. I don't use Game Mode.

Would SteamOS be adequate for me, or should I stick to Bazzite?

Basically the title. I'm getting a PC with the following specs: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Radeon RX 9070 XT OC at 3100 MHz, 32 GB RAM DDR5 6000 MHz, Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB SSD.

My previous monitor was a 1080p 27" IPS 144Hz LG which was nice and this time I want the best possible image quality. 200-300Hz is fine. Height adjustment is required. Preferably flat. Speakers are not required. I'm clueless about which OLED to choose and I have no experience with HDR, which apparently is recommended for the best image quality.

I've heard that QD-OLED is the best? It also has to be reliable like my former LG that had no issues whatsoever.

A few titles that I'm going to play: War Thunder, RE4R, RE Requiem, RE Veronica, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Dead Space Remake. Cyberpunk 2077, Until Dawn, The Last Of Us, Space Marine 2, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Metro 2039, ONTOS.
