I am a Conservative who will be voting blue in the midterms| Why Fox News is still successful at propaganda.

Hi everyone, I come in peace, truly. As the title states, I am a Conservative, and while I'm sure I disagree with plenty of you here, the one thing we can all agree on is that Donald Trump has to be stopped. As a Conservative, even I can see the path this country is going down under Donald Trump. You might be asking yourself right now, "is he trolling", or "is this a bot that is posting this?" I assure you I am 100% a 22 year old male from the state of Kentucky, that is holding out hope that the Republican party can actually start to be fiscally conservative once again.

I also know that one of the questions that will be asked is if I voted for Trump, and yes I did. Do I regret it? Yes. Would I have voted for Kamala? No. At the time, I felt as if it was my duty to vote even living in a red state, and I was dumb enough to believe that this 2nd term would be more of the same from the 1st term(not that the first term was good).

I disagreed with Thomas Massie on some broader issues, but even I as a conservative realize that Thomas Massie was the only chance at the GOP reverting back to semi-conservative views.

Now to tie this into Fox News, people are still asking why their propaganda is still working. The answer is that to me as someone on the right, is that they're really good at making boomers feel as if they're still in control. They go out of their way to make it known that everyone should have the same viewpoints as what the "older" generation had. The most useful thing Fox News does is to always mention Communism, and how everything Donald Trump is doing is to save us from Communism.

This is important to note, because as we know boomers see being a communist as unpatriotic, and that you've betrayed your country. They pull at the heartstrings and Fox News makes it their mission to shame anyone that might disagree with Trump. So, the boomers see Trump as a saving grace from the "communists aka democrats", and if anyone disagrees with Trump even on a couple of issues, they're automatically labeled a "traitor".

I am more than willing to continue this discussion below if anyone has any questions! Ideally I just want a conservative party back that I can be proud of, and while I disagree with the democrats on 90% of issues, I feel as if the only way to get a true conservative party back is to let the democrats win in a landslide in both 2026, and 2028.

For now, anyone associated with "MAGA" will never get my vote. The same goes to anyone receiving AIPAC funds.

Edit: I appreciate everyone who has been civil with me. I debated for hours to post this, and I'm glad I did. For those of you who haven't been civil, please understand that the Democratic Party needs as many voters as possible. Believing yourself to be too good to forgive is an issue, and is not the way to deconstruct former MAGA members.

I'd also just like to edit the very last two sentences of my original post. When I said "For now, anyone associated with "MAGA" will never get my vote. The same goes to anyone receiving AIPAC funds" I mean that anyone who associates themselves with MAGA, or blindly follows Trump will never get a vote from me. I may have miss worded it when I said "for now", what I actually meant is never.

Conservatives like myself should vote for the Democratic Party in the midterms.

I am a 22 year old male, who is a conservative from Kentucky. After last night, I can no longer stomach the thought of voting Republican. I watched first hand how a foreign government can come into the United States, and buy a random house seat in Kentucky. I also watched as the boomers were manipulated by AI ads to believe that Thomas Massie had a threesome with liberals. They truly believed it to be true. For a little more context, I am not in Thomas Massie's district, and I do not agree with everything Thomas Massie stands for, but I as an American can no longer recognize the Republican Party. I am in the firm belief that the Republican Party needs a rebrand, and the only way for that to happen is to let the Democrats gain power to do whatever it takes to stop Donald Trump.

Rafael Castro Being Slept On?

Am I the only one really high on Rafael Castro? I have him as a top 25 player in this class.

My Scouting Report on Rafael Castro:

Rafael Castro is an athletic and fast-moving big man who stands out because of his speed, energy, and passing ability. At 6’11”, he runs the floor like a wing player instead of a traditional center. He scores efficiently around the basket, finishes strong in transition, and creates opportunities for teammates with smart passing. Defensively, he has the quickness to switch onto smaller players and make disruptive plays like a wing.

The biggest concerns are his thin frame and defensive fundamentals. Stronger players can push him around, and he still needs work with positioning and rim protection. Even with those concerns, his unique skill set and athleticism give him real NBA upside.

Castro’s offense is built around speed, athleticism, and smart decision-making. He is very effective as a rim runner, especially in pick-and-roll situations where he quickly gets to the basket for easy dunks and finishes. He also thrives in transition because he runs the floor faster than most centers.

One of the most impressive parts of his game is his passing. Castro is not just a finisher. He can handle the ball, read defenses, and find open teammates. He is comfortable making passes from the top of the key or while driving to the basket. That makes him more versatile than many athletic big men.

Offensively, his strengths are his speed, finishing ability, transition scoring, and passing vision. He also draws a lot of fouls because defenders struggle to stay in front of him. His weaknesses are his thin frame, limited shooting range, and questions about how he will handle stronger NBA defenders physically.

Defensively, Castro shows a lot of potential because of his quickness and athletic ability. He moves well laterally, allowing him to switch onto guards and smaller players better than most centers. He is also active in passing lanes and creates turnovers that can lead to fast-break points.

His athleticism also helps as a shot blocker around the rim. He can recover quickly and make highlight-level defensive plays.

His defensive strengths include mobility, versatility, active hands, and shot blocking ability. However, he still needs improvement with positioning, rim rotations, and overall defensive awareness. He can also struggle against stronger post players because of his lack of size and strength.

Castro projects as a modern NBA rotational big man with upside because of his athleticism, passing, and defensive versatility. His ability to run the floor, finish plays, and create for teammates fits well in today’s fast-paced NBA.

If he adds strength and improves his defensive fundamentals, he could develop into a valuable two-way center who impacts games with energy, versatility, and playmaking. If the physical concerns remain, he may struggle against stronger NBA competition and settle into a smaller bench role.
