EDIT: SOLVED!!

I opened up my computer last night to get the dust out, and only disconnected three cables (circled in image) while it was open. I cleaned out the fans and vents with a toothbrush, reassembled, closed it up, and powered it on, but the keyboard is no longer working. At first it seemed like nothing was working (backlight + keys) but I guess the backlight doesn’t kick on until you’ve entered the password.

I have windows installed via bootcamp as well, and was able to get it to boot to windows by pressing the “forgot password” button in macOS, and then using the apple logo to select the startup disk. Once it rebooted into windows the keyboard lit up fine, but still none of the keys worked.

I’ve attempted to reset smc and nvram several times, first time it seemed like one of them did something as it booted to a different screen, but can’t get it to replicate now.

Can anyone help me please. I don’t have the funds to take it anywhere. I’m hoping I just knocked a ribbon cable loose but not sure which one controls the keyboard and several online searches haven’t helped.
