Dog in Perris Has Been Howling in a Cage for Over 3 days — Already Called Animal Control

There’s a dog on my block in Perris, CA on Mildred St between Perris Blvd and Redlands Ave that has been locked in a cage and howling nonstop since Saturday May 16. I called Perris Animal Control and they said they placed a ticket, but the dog is still crying.

I’m posting because it’s honestly disturbing to hear for this long and I’m worried something may be wrong. The dog sounds stressed and desperate. I don’t know the full situation, so I’m trying not to jump to conclusions, but continuous confinement and nonstop howling for this long can’t be normal.

Has anyone dealt with this before in Riverside County? How long does animal control usually take to respond to welfare checks like this?
