Need advice about prior drug use.
Hey guys. I have recently decided to join the CG, and have spoken to a recruiter several times. My MEPS date is june 1st, and I am incredibly excited to join the CG.
I do have some issues though. I went to college for 4 years and have used cocaine several times, very experimentally though. The issue is I was hospitilized in january for an unrelated medical emergency and I admitted to them having done cocaine recently. I imagine that this will show up in my medical records, and I told my recruiter about marijuana usage in highschool but never cocaine usage in college.
I have been researching this problem thouroughly, I just dont know if I should say something to my recruiter as most of the other posts ive read on this topic has been related to Marijuana.
The coast guard seems like an amazing oppurtunity and I know that cocaine will never be a problem in my life. I would hate for this oppurtunity to be wasted over something as minor as that. Any advice is welcome. Thanks for the trouble.
