I think they belong to the Lachnaia genus (probably pubescens, not sure). I find them incredibly cute, but a few of them are all over my Persimmon tree and there is some obvious damage. The flowers are about to bloom and I would be pretty bummed if they start eating them too. Can they become a real problem? And if so, how do I deal with them?
