STL in C++ is genuinely underrated.

Once you get comfortable with `vector`, `map`, `unordered_map`, `set`, and `priority_queue`, half of your coding problems basically solve themselves.

Stop reinventing the wheel. Learn the containers and algorithms properly....If you know any resource for this , pls suggest

Which LFX organizations are beginner-friendly for first-time contributors?

There are so many organizations participating in LFX that it's hard to know where to start.

If you've contributed before, which organizations would you recommend for beginners?

Please mention:

  • Organization name
  • Tech stack
  • Difficulty level
  • Mentor responsiveness
  • Any tips before contributing

This could become a useful reference for future applicants.

What was your first accepted contribution before applying to LFX?

I'm curious how everyone got their first contribution merged.

  • Was it a documentation fix, bug fix, feature, or test?
  • How many PRs/issues did you contribute before applying?
  • Which organization was it?
  • Any advice for someone trying to get that first meaningful contribution?

It would be great if experienced mentees could share their journey. It might help new applicants understand what a realistic starting point looks like.

This is a significant change for many students and open source contributors who were planning to apply for LFX Mentorship.

What are your thoughts on the new stipend policy?

What exactly is LFX Mentorship? (Simple explanation for beginners)

I keep seeing people ask about LFX, so here's the simplest explanation I can give.

LFX Mentorship is a paid open-source internship program run by the Linux Foundation.

The process is roughly:

  1. Open-source organizations publish projects.

  2. Applicants contribute to those projects before applying.

  3. Mentors review contributions and applications.

  4. A few candidates are selected.

  5. Selected mentees work with mentors for a few months.

  6. Some Successful mentees receive a stipend mainly. CNCF
