I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. Upon rereading I realized that while in Atlanta, Scarlett was thinking that either Stu or Brent might have been her husband had the war not happened. I wonder if she would have been happy with either of them (presumably with Stuart, to leave Brent to her sister Careen). They were certainly among her favorite suitors.
