I just updated from 25.10 to 26.04 to find out that the option to open an executable file in a text editor has been hidden behind a dropdown list.
In 25.10 the option either took the place of the "Run Executable" option or was alongside it. Is it possible to revert this behaviour? I haven't had any luck looking through dolphin's settings.
I have noticed that when you tell dolphin to use per-folder display styles, by default it always sorts the files alphabetically with folders appearing above files.
As someone who prefers to have folders appear amongst their files, this is inconvenient because my only choices are to either use a common display style and not have specific folders sort files differently, manually change the sorting of every folder I have and will create, or I could write a script to automatically find every folder on my computer with the default style and update it's metadata accordingly.
Is there some hidden config setting that I am missing, is this a bug, or is this intentional?
EDIT: It appears the view settings don't persist even with a common display style after rebooting, so this is probably a bug.
