New Player - Looking for Friends & LS on Bismark!
Hello!
As the title suggests, I'm currently a newer player looking to make friends & join an active linkshell (s) that wouldn't mind a newer soul joining their ranks on the Bismark server.
I'm not sure if theres any specific megathread(s) I was supposed to post this to and I apologize if thats the case. However, I do have some general questions as well for anyone who'd be willing to help ^^.
Making Gil:
I'm currently trying my best to work around the fact that the AH here is pretty dry and while not completely dead, kind've otherwise devoid of many spell scrolls I'd normally probably be able to buy on higher pop servers like asura odin or bahamut. Is there any early game method, even if a bit grindy, to make money? I know RoE and sparks exist but it feels like I have to grind crystals with signet for hours to even afford one shield to sell for a little bit of gil. Is there a better way?
The Endgame:
How easy is it to be self-sufficient in regards to getting respectable endgame gear? I want to be able to get some nice things for the jobs I eventually hit cap with but I'm afraid that I may not even run into people that'll give me a chance to hang out with them in endgame content. I've tried asking in the mentor channel for help but its also usually pretty silent there too.
Best "solo" classes?
I'll be honest and say that RDM and THF are my favorite classes so far, but what would people recommend for someone who wants to be incredibly self sufficient with their gameplay? Is SMN any good at that? I really like SMN and probably even moreso than its XIV incarnation (having came from there.)
