A concerned tenant

I’ve noticed that since the management changed at Infante Compound, a lot of things have gone downhill. Rent has increased, but unfortunately, the facilities don’t seem to be improving at the same pace.

One of the biggest issues is the heat inside the rooms. To be fair, the rooms have always been hot, even before the management changed. However, despite tenants raising concerns about it for years, very little has been done. Fans and exhaust systems were installed, but honestly, they made little to no difference. The rooms are still uncomfortably hot, especially during the summer months.

The water quality is also concerning. The CRs often develop yellow stains because of the water, and overall maintenance doesn’t seem to be keeping up with what tenants are paying for.

It also feels like maximizing profit has become the priority. I’ve heard of very small rooms being occupied by up to four tenants through the use of bunk beds just to accommodate more people. While I understand that the compound is a business, tenant comfort and quality of living should not be sacrificed.

I genuinely miss how things used to be before. The atmosphere felt more tenant-focused, and the facilities were better maintained. With the increase in rent, many tenants are hoping to see real improvements in return.

Please invest in your facilities. Improve the ventilation, address the water issues, maintain the common areas, and prioritize the comfort of your tenants. We don’t mind paying more if we can actually see where the money is going. Right now, many of us are left wondering if the increased costs are truly benefiting the people who live here.
