Advice on buying an apartment in Richwood
Hi there, I’m planning on buying a 1 bedroom apartment in Richwood at De Buurt. Same people who built De Aan Zicht and De Zicht.
I know about all the reported issues of Balwin Properties, but I’m more curious about the safety issues of buying a place so close to Dunoon. Is the security of these complexes really as good as they say - especially for a third floor or second floor apartment? Or would it really be a concern?
There’s been a good appreciation of these apartments so far, despite being so close to the informal settlement.
I have about a 40% deposit for a 1 bedroom, so my goal is just to buy and rent out.
Any thoughts on this area? I’m also looking at Suikerbos estate in Sandown, that’s on the other side of Dunoon, a bit farther away from the informal settlement. Also had access to the myciti. But I’ve heard it’s a lot denser there.
